1. Delivery Methods

Depending on the size, weight, and type of product ordered, Iron Pit Works may use specialized freight carriers, flatbed trucks, trailers, or other suitable transportation methods.

Delivery may include:

  • Standard freight delivery for smaller products;

  • Specialized transportation for large or heavy smokers and grills;

  • Flatbed or trailer delivery for oversized equipment.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location can safely accommodate the size and weight of the product and delivery vehicle.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery does not include permanent installation, electrical work, fuel or gas connections, construction of a foundation or pad, or moving the product inside a building or structure.

2. Delivery Site Preparation

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is ready before the scheduled delivery.

Before delivery, customers should ensure that there is sufficient space for the delivery vehicle and the product to safely access the property. Also, the delivery area should be reasonably firm, stable, and suitable for the weight of the product and delivery vehicle.

Iron Pit Works and its delivery providers are not responsible for vehicles becoming stuck or being unable to access a location because of soft ground, mud, unstable surfaces, steep terrain, or other site conditions.

Customers should check for low-hanging branches, wires, narrow gates, buildings, fences, steep slopes, and other obstacles that may interfere with delivery.

The customer should have a suitable location prepared for the smoker, grill, BBQ pit, fire pit, or other equipment before delivery.

Customers are responsible for determining whether the intended placement and use of the product comply with applicable local fire, building, property, zoning, homeowners’ association, or other requirements.

3. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers or an authorized representative should be present at delivery whenever possible.

Before the driver leaves, the customer should inspect the product for:

  • Visible shipping or transportation damage;

  • Structural damage;

  • Damage to doors, lids, handles, wheels, racks, or other components;

  • Missing accessories or components; and

  • Any significant discrepancy between the product ordered and the product delivered.

Any visible damage should be photographed and noted on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading before the driver departs, where possible.

Customers should contact Iron Pit Works as soon as possible regarding any damage or significant delivery issue.

4. Delivery Scheduling

After an order has been processed and is ready for shipment, Iron Pit Works or its delivery provider may contact the customer to coordinate a delivery date or delivery window.

Delivery schedules may be affected by weather, traffic, transportation conditions, product availability, carrier schedules, and driver availability.

Delivery dates and timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing.

5. Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • The customer or authorized representative is unavailable when required;

  • The delivery site is inaccessible;

  • The site is not ready;

  • The delivery vehicle cannot safely access the location;

  • The customer provided incorrect or incomplete delivery information; or

  • Other conditions prevent safe delivery,

additional delivery, transportation, storage, or redelivery charges may apply.

6. Change of Delivery Address

Customers should notify Iron Pit Works of any delivery address change as soon as possible.

Changes made after shipping or delivery arrangements have been finalized may result in additional transportation, logistics, or other charges.

7. Custom and Oversized Products

Custom-built smokers, grills, trailer BBQ pits, and other oversized products may require special transportation arrangements.

The customer may be responsible for confirming that the delivery location can accommodate the product, delivery vehicle, and any required unloading or placement process.

Any special delivery requirements should be discussed with Iron Pit Works before the order is finalized.
